Silicone Defoamers

Silicone defoamers are highly efficient antifoaming agents utilizing polyorganosiloxane compounds as core active ingredients, typically formulated with polydimethylsiloxane and hydrophobic silica to create a composite system. Their exceptional performance originates from extremely low surface tension (20-22 mN/m) and powerful hydrophobic characteristics, enabling defoamer droplets to rapidly spread across foam film surfaces and achieve fast bubble rupture by disrupting film elasticity and promoting drainage. These defoamers deliver combined immediate defoaming and persistent foam suppression, maintaining stable activity under harsh conditions including high temperatures and extreme pH environments, while offering advantages of chemical inertness, non-toxicity, and environmental safety. Widely applied in pulp/paper manufacturing, food fermentation, petrochemical processing, textile dyeing, and wastewater treatment, their low dosage requirements and high efficiency make them the preferred solution for industrial defoaming applications.
